These kids sure do cleanup well. Gray had hair product in and I actually braided Olivia’s. I wore a dress and lipstick. It doesn’t happen often but when it does you know we have to document it.
We got all dressed up for the wedding and had a great time celebrating the wonderful couple. It was our first time to attend a wedding in the mountains and it was beautiful so if any of my friends want to get married (or renew their vows), do it in the mountains and we will definitely be there.
After we left the wedding we took a short drive up Boreas Pass Road. I have seen so many gorgeous pictures of the breathtaking fall mountain views on this road and was hoping we would get the chance to see some of them. Unfortunatley I think we missed them by a couple of weeks, at least on this portion of the drive, but the views were still beautiful. We will just have to make sure we don’t miss it next year.
We managed to get in a couple of very short hikes, in comaprison to what we usually do, while we were there. We were really just enjoying doing a whole lot of nothing but knew we couldn’t miss out on the cooler temperatures and the chance to do one of our favorite activities as a family.
The hikes are always worth it. The trips to this beautiful place are always worth it and making it happen can be a challenge but ones that we are always up for because we never regret taking off and spending time together.
