Well, I am sorry to say but this is my last post from our trip to Arch Cape. I know, I’m sad too, but as this trip had to come to an end so do the pictures. It was an amazing trip for us. A time of complete relaxation, peace and inspiration which is what this magical place is. If I haven’t convinced you to visit yet then I’m doing something wrong and I need to fix that.
One of our last days we decided to go back to Short Sand. It was a place my parent’s had not seen yet, an easy hike, and we just really like it there. Plus, there were some places we didn’t get to explore the first time. We decided to take the easiest trail in, the one all the surfers use when they head to the beach but we wanted to take some offshoots, particularly the Old Growth Forest trail. We started on the Short sand Creek Trail, went over to the Old Growth Forest and then I have no idea. We just went whatever direction we could hear the waves and eventually made it to the beach.
Tree trunks that make the kids look miniature.
I know I have said it in almost every post, but this place really is wonderful in so many ways. It was so good for our souls. The time we spent in the woods, on the beach, in the tide pools and gathered together was unforgettable and life changing. Sounds a bit dramatic doesn’t it? It really was though. We had some wonderful discussions and were so inspired while there. We started imagining all the places we could go, the things we could experience, and the memories that we could make with our children and family. This trip further unlocked our desire to see and experience as much as we can. It inspired and reminded us that this is the one life we have, so live it and feel it. Experience it. So now, we plan our next adventure.
