The spring showers have started around here. The ground is saturated and the flooding in some parts of Texas are devastating. My heart aches for those places, especially Houston. I am so thankful that my parents are here now but I still have family and friends that live there, that city will always have a piece of my heart. To see the people being evacuated by boats and hearing stories of loss from so many saddens my deeply. Please keep all these families in your prayers.
It’s pretty overcast and wet here in DFW. I think we are all ready for a few days of clear skies and sunshine which, fingers crossed, we will get this weekend. Hopefully it will dry things out. In the meantime, while the clouds and the rain are still here, I wanted to post some photos from a month or so ago. Spring was just starting to make it’s appearance and we were visiting the land as much as we could. The grass was turning green, starting to grow, the leaves were still brown and some of the trees were bare. It may be one of my favorite parts of the year, to see everything come back to life, to see the way God created nature to work. It brings a renewed sense of life to things.
The grass now is bright green and growing so fast. The cows, yes, we now have cows. (I told you guys a lot has happened in the last few months) are loving all of the lush grass and leaves. It looks so different out there in a matter of a month and in another month (God willing) it will look dramatically different because we will hopefully be breaking ground on the house at some point.
