It’s only a little bit over a week after the 4th of July right? Better late than never to post about our Independence Day celebrations? These days, as long as it’s getting posted, I’m happy. So, with that being said, our 4th of July.
The day started out with less than enthused children. They were bickering and were at the point that they didn’t want to even be close to each other and that was precisely the time that I asked them to take a couple of photos.
Once they kissed and made up they went and bought some fireworks with Graham and then we headed to NaNa and PaPa’s house for some swimming with the cousins. The 4th is always kind of crazy. But this year was pretty calm. They all swam and played, ate when the food was ready and overall listened really well. If I’m being honest, it was weird, but we enjoyed it, don’t get me wrong.
I made the mistake of sending Graham to get fireworks without my supervision. This holiday is a man’s favorite because he gets to play with fireworks. They turn into little children all over again. He came home with more fireworks than ever and two very excited kids. We decided to set them off at the new house. I prayed the entire time that they would not set our house on fire before it was even complete.
I am happy to say that the house is still standing and that our Fourth was one we won’t forget.
